Hey Shane,
I too, am a British car fanatic. My love is MGB's. Everytime I work on them, I find that they put the bolts or whatever in the hardest places to get at, so , to me, MGB stands for Morons from Great Britain. Keep them on the road, not in a garage mahal.
Hope you find those F-1 Schumacher roads in your neck of the woods.

Love your site. I've just started gaining an interest in MG's and loved seeing yours. I've got my heart set on finding a nice late 60's or early 70's MG GT. It's weird how out of all cars I want that to be my first antique car. Although I do like your Alfa Romeos and could see myself in one of those. I've got two young kids and I know I will have to have 4 seats if I expect my wife to "allow" me to buy a car just for fun.

I spent 2 years in the UK in the late 80's and I fell in love with all things British, cars, beer/pubs etc.

Thanks for sharing the pictures.

good day payne...and thanks for the post.
you know you could get both of the Alfa's
for the price of a used VW Beetle!!that way you would have 4 seats and both of you can take 1 and maybe take 2 different ways to where you are going... call me we'll talk!! ha ha

Hello Shane,

My name is Keith Freda and i live in Huntinton Long island. When i was 21 yers of age i fell in love with a 1970 Triumph Spitfire. I still have the car in my garage an she still runs. the universal Leaf springs are waste and the brake calipers are frozen. You seem to work on britishcars and was wondering if you could restore mine. if not do you know anyone in the northeast that would. I understand fixing the car up is not worth it for this model but Betsy was my first and I'm sure you can underatand that. thanks for any info

Shane,

Where in the Midwest are you? I live in southwestern Fairfield County but am interested in some of your cars. The MGs in particular.

Regards,
John

My first MG looked exactly like your 66 becca. I traded it in for a 1974 Pinto. Those were the days. Could your car be the one I sold? it was my first car. My wife and I had a great deal of fun with that baby blue MGB. Loved that car. 66 is a good year.

I just found your site from looking on craigslist. I have my 75 TR6 up for sale as of now, but I read your comments and it gives me second thoughts about selling it. I had a TR3 in my youth which I drove all over the midwest when I was stationed in S.Dak with the USAF. I hauled it to California in !965 and sold it out there to a guy who really wanted it. The TR6 I bought 4 yrs. ago after after a serious bout with cancer with the idea of restoring it back to original as it had some rather amateurish body work althought the paint was very good. Pics are craigslist Kansas City Mo. I really enjoy your pictures and will look in on your site from time to time. If you think someone might be interested, I will take $8300 , but no less. Good luck to you and all British nuts out there. Bill Farrow
